Blooming Annuals for Sale - Just in time for Mother's Day - Saturday, May 7 (9AM - 4PM)

Make plans to purchase your flowers for Mom (and yourself) at Downtown Crystal Lake's Spring Flower Sale Fundraiser.

Volunteers from Downtown Crystal Lake will be selling hanging baskets and planters with beautiful blooming plants from Countryside Flowershop & Nursery.

Plants will be on sale at the corner of Brink & Williams (near Heisler's Bootery).  Thanks to our good friends at Countryside, this will be a fundraiser for Downtown Crystal Lake/Main Street.

Lupus Fundraiser on May 7th

NEWSFLASH!  In honor of National Lupus Awareness month, Downtown Crystal Lake and Countryside Flowershop will be making a donation to the National Lupus Foundation for EVERY flower sold!

Lupus Foundation Booth near Benedicts La Strata will have raffles and information.

This Saturday, May 10th from 9AM to 4PM, Downtown Crystal Lake will be hosting its Flower Sale Fundraiser at the corner of Williams & Brink.   The sale of any purple flowers will generate an extra donation to the Lupus Foundation.  A DJ will be setup near Dalzell Jewelers, so there will be plenty of lively music all day long.

There will also be a concurrent Lupus Fundraiser going on.  The month of May is Lupus Awareness Month, and purple is the color for Lupus.  One of our own, Taylor Kassel, a student at Crystal Lake South High School, is affected by this terrible disease.  Taylor and her mother Bonnie both work at Benedict’s La Strata.

This Saturday, we are “painting downtown purple” and collectively wrapping our arms around the Kassel family to provide emotional support and to raise $$$ for the Lupus Foundation.  Many businesses will be offering discounts on purple items, making donations and helping in so many other ways.  The outpouring of our downtown community is heart-warming.  “Wear purple” this Saturday and show your support!
