Remember that those of you with Kindergarten, 2nd, or 6th Graders need to have the Dental Examination form for your respective school according to Illinois State law.  We have extra forms here so don't worry if you forget to bring them to your child's appointment.  Summer's also a good time to get those college students in before they head back to school.

Have a Happy and Safe Summer!!

It's summer and we're all reaching for drinks to stay cool. But before you grab your favorite beverages, remember that not all summer refreshers are created equal.

A study in the Journal of the American Dental Association compares the pH levels of 300+ beverages sold in the U.S. and found that most are potentially erosive to teeth.

Water's minimally erosive with a less than 3 pH, most fruit juices are erosive with a 3-4 pH and most colas and sports drinks are extremely erosive with a greater than 4 pH.

In addition, keep in mind that a change of seasons means to replace your toothbrush.  We recommend you do this every 3 months or when you have flat or frayed bristles.

Have a Safe and Fun Filled Summer!
