Study: 58% Of People More Likely To Be Hired After Tooth Whitening.

According to a recent study good teeth are what women “judge men on most” when first considering a romantic relationship and an independent research firm found that 58% of a study’s participants were more likely to be hired and 53% received larger salary offers after their teeth had been whitened.

We'd love to help start out your new year with a whiter, brighter smile. Call us to see how we can help at 815-459-8650.

We want to caution that too much whitening can backfire, causing your teeth to lose color, become translucent and look gray. An excess of whitening treatments can irritate gums as well, and can be harmful to the soft tissue of the mouth, the back of the throat and the stomach.  Please consult with a professional for this procedure.

Beating Bad Breath

Do you feel like you are constantly trying to cover up your bad breath? You’re not alone, one in four American have Halitosis. Caused by poor brushing and flossing, bits of food get stuck in teeth and gums, begin to decay and give off an unpleasant odor. The bacteria growing also allows for gum disease to form, another main cause of bad breath.

Bad breath has also been known to be caused by:

  • Consuming foods such as garlic, onions, cheese orange juice and diet soda.

  • Dry mouth

  • Chronic diseases

  • Respiratory, mouth, throat and nose conditions

  • Using tobacco products, especially smoking.

  • Malnutrition

How can you avoid bad breath? Try the following:

  • Brush your teeth after every meal and floss at least once a day.

  • Gently brush your tongue to remove dead cells and stop bacteria growth.

  • Drink more water to keep your mouth refreshed and clean.

  • Eat more fruits and vegetables regularly.

  • Have dental exams and cleanings twice a year.

  • Clean dental wear, dentures, bridges or retainers, thoroughly once a day.
